Princípio do RDS e Aplicação no DSP-10, DSPX e FPGA com Sistema Semi-Embarcado



Since the 90´s, especially at this first decade of the new millennium, when the advances in mobile communication grew and wireless communication resources became very attractive and even inevitable, SDR appears as a new alternative to this wave of portable devices. One carries not only one or two cell phones, but also a handheld computer, a palm top, GPS… just to have access to every service offered nowadays. The substitution of the circuits before inflexible for a technology of reconfigurable circuits, brings, certainly, advantages to the final user that with only one device can have access to many wireless networks. As well as advantages to the companies and developers that can offer these services without having to invest in new hardware that can spend a lot of the monetary capital. UnB, University of Brasilia, with a global view has a study group dedicated to Software Defined Radio and its applications. This article will present the work done so far as well as the barriers that has to be broken in the process of developing a Software Defined Radio.
